Lasagna can sometimes seem like a labor of love, but it is always a crowd-pleaser! Give this recipe a try for a delicious home-cooked meal. If you’re running short on time, prepare the night before and pop it in the oven the next day!
2 lbs ground chuck or ground turkey
1 small onion, chopped (less or more depending on preference)
2-13 oz tomato sauce
1 Tbsp oregano
1 Tbsp garlic powder
1 Tbsp basil
1 Tbsp parsley
1 cup sour cream
3 eggs, beaten
9 lasagna noodles, cooked
1 lb mozzarella cheese
Brown onions and meat, until cooked all the way through. Drain grease. Add spices to meat and cook for an additional 30-60 seconds. Add tomato sauce. Cover and cook for 1 hour on low. Add water, if necessary.
Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
In a small bowl, beat eggs and then whisk in sour cream to make sauce.
Layer in lightly greased 9×13″ pan: meat sauce, cooked noodles, cream sauce, cheese. Repeat 2x – ending with meat sauce.
Bake at 350 degrees for 45 minutes.
Make the night before so it’s ready to go for tomorrow’s meal!
