Captain Sea Mart’s Favorite St. Patrick’s Day Treats

We’ve all read Dr. Seuss’ Green Eggs and Ham book and we’ve already probably experienced our kids turning their noses up at green food. Getting picky eaters to try new things isn’t always enjoyable, but with the following recipes we think we can help make your St. Patrick’s Day a little more fun for the whole family!

St. Patrick’s Day Cookies

Ingredients:

Your favorite sugar cookie dough
Green food coloring
Vanilla frosting
St. Patrick’s Day Sprinkles

Directions:

Add green food coloring to your favorite sugar cookie dough and mix until evenly distributed. Bake according to the package directions and allow them to cool. Top with vanilla frosting and sprinkles. Eat up and enjoy every bite!

For a more traditional alternative, make the frosting green instead of the dough – this recipe works well both ways.

Not feeling the green?

For the adults in your home, we recommend swinging by Watson Point Liquor and trying some beers you don’t traditionally drink. We love stouts and reds this time of year and they can make some great suggestions at the store too. The crew at Watson Point Liquor can also help with beer pairings for your party that all your friends will enjoy.
